So it seems all of a sudden, everyone has decided to start wearing chinos.. But why? I personally think that it’s to do with the fact that they look very cool, and transgress a variety of looks and genres. The important point to remember is that clothing trends and music are heavily influenced by each other. With the recent steamroller that is UK urban music making it into the mainstream, with the likes of Example, Tiny Tempah, Tinchie Strydah, Wretch 32, and others, it’s pretty much a given that these guys will have an influence over what people are wearing. Even their lyrics are about snapbacks and chinos and hot brands of the minute.

But as stated above, men’s chinos are a very versatile piece of clothing, and look great with any t-shirt, hoodie, or shirt. Anyone can wear them and look like he’s on trend. depending on the footwear and headwear to complete the look, a guy can easily establish his own style without conforming to any stereotypical style. Wearing a pair of chinos with some high tops or Vans and a Mitchell & Ness Snapback, a guy would present a completely different image about himself than if he were to wear the me beige chinos (or any other colour for that matter!) and a pair of espadrilles and a slouch beanie hat!
